New Releases from Domaine Prudhon: The Rising Star of White Burgundy

It never ceases to amaze me how a 26 mile stretch of land can not only show such wealth but continue to contain so many great producers which seem to come out of nowhere. For today, we a favorite from the Neal Rosenthal portfolio. Domaine Pruhdon is highly interesting, well priced and insanely ageable; wines that should be household names. Well....they kind of are already, which is why some of them are so limited. I discovered the wines of Henri Prudhon about a decade ago and while it was great that they were so cheap, they seemed a little Meh. Over the years, the quality has increased and within recent vintages, I would put them in the same tier as some of the better known Saint Aubin producers.

It's that time of year again ladies and gentleman. It happens twice a year: the new vintages of Paolo Bea have are coming, The wines that made Some Good Wine famous. Paolo Bea is one of those names that almost that has almost become a secret code in the wine consumers world. And while Paolo Bea is not cheap, for what it can do in the cellar over time, there is literally nothing like it.

    2017 Jean Claude Bachelet Offer

For today, we have a producer so crisp, so clear, so fresh, I feel like I am licking the air in Nepal. Bachelet was one of the first white Burgundy producers I discovered that gave me an aha moment, in particular for the Saint Aubin designations which they had, showcasing just how interesting, unique and diverse these wines could be. Years later, they are better than ever and still at the top of their game.

Arrival of 2017 Xavier Gerard Cote Rotie

Several years ago, the formidable distributor Neal Rosenthal decided to bring in this great producer of Cote Rotie to complement their most excellent lineup of Northern Rhone wines. Xavier Gerard was young and unheard of which is strange for a region as small as Cote Rotie and the Northern Rhone . I tried his lineup a few years back and was really excited about the possibilities.  Unlike other Cote Roties, there was a lot to go around and I would beg my Rhone customers to try this and be bedazzled, especially the 2015.

New Wines from Alvaro Palacios: Spain's Grandmaster Flash!

Over the past couple months and years I have been asked numerous times for a Priorat offer. Here we go....the best Priorat has to offer. Álvaro Palacios is perhaps the leading figure in the modern Spanish winemaking revolution.  Young, energetic and full of charismatic passion. Palacios admires Burgundy and other wine regions with a monastic past. A media-friendly maverick, he has become a true celebrity in the world of Spanish wine. He is currently in charge of a small wine kingdom which produces some of the best labels from Bierzo, Rioja and of course, Priorat.

The Perfect Thanksgiving Wine Up to 40% Off: 2016 Frank Family Vineyards Pinot Noir Carneros

Today's special is a doozie. One of a kind.  This is California Pinot just the way most people like it: straight down the middle of the flavor spectrum, where the fruit is flashy but not syrupy. The acid is not taken over by oak and the floral elements rise and shine with the robins. The 2016 is from the Frank Family’s Lewis Vineyard located in Napa Carneros near the shores of San Pablo Bay. This 78-acre vineyard has 68 acres planted to Chardonnay and 10 acres planted to Pinot Noir. The wine was aged 10 months in French oak barrels, 33% new, 67% once and twice-filled. ·
