2017 Azores 'Pico Isabella a Proibida' Tinto

Hailing from a tiny island of Pico, one of the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean! The grape here is Isbella, grown on volcanic black basalt, similar to Santorini. There is a wildness in this wine with smoke, charcuterie and ocean minerality as well as sour red cherry and strawberry.
