New Wines from Sablonnettes: Natural but not too Natural in the Loire!

Most of you are familiar with this great producer who has been a staple of our store since opening. In fact, on a personal basis, this was one of the first natural wines I tried that made me think something cliche like "cool....that's interesting!" I often call these great intro natural wines since the flavors are not too over the top in any way and if you didn't know it was natural you might just think they are light and refreshing.
Sablonnettes is the brainchild of Christine and Joel Menard in the heart of the Coteaux du Layon AOC for more than thirty years. They produce an outstanding array of wines from Cabernet Franc, Grolleau, Gamay and Chenin Blanc. An amazing introduction is below!
