Bargains in Burgundy: Saint Véran

Bargains in Burgundy: Saint Véran

It's been a while since I featured wines from Eric Asimov of the NYT, so today I feel as if I'm cheating a little bit with another great newspaper and columnist Lettie Teague of the Wall Street Journal.  Truth be told, I don't follow these two writers as much as I should, but a few weeks back I got a call from Lettie to purchase 3 of her featured 5 Saint Veran in Saturday's WSJ article.  I was somewhat surprised she called and even more surprised she let me pick two at my leisure which made the article.
I don't have much to add here other than that they are (obviously) great wines that are of incredible value.
The 3 below are the ones we have in stock
  • Wines can ship this week
  • 10% off 6, 15% off 12
  • The notes below are copied from Lettie's article
2020 Chateau Fuisse Saint Veran
Newsletter Price: $29.99
Produced from several different parcels largely in the northern subregion of Saint-Véran and vinified in stainless steel to preserve freshness, this is a medium-bodied, textured white marked by bright acidity and a citrus note.
2020 Domaine de la Croix Senaillet Saint-Véran Les Rochats
Newsletter Price: $27.99
This is one of several wines produced by the Saint-Véran-centric Domaine de la Croix Senaillet. It’s a lithe and minerally, rather elegant white from a limestone-rich single-vineyard site
2020 Domaine Cheveau Saint-Véran Chantevigne
Newsletter Price: $27.99
A wine of a precision and finesse with an impressively long mineral finish, this Saint-Véran from a family-owned domaine, made in (sadly) small quantities, is most certainly worth tracking down.
