As far south as you can get without being in Spain. The blend here is 55% Tannat, 30% Cab Franc, & 15% Cab Sauv. Deep red fruit and tobacco on the nose. Black cherries and warming spices on the palate. This fuller bodied rustic wine deserves a Basque inspired lamb stew.
