2023 Daniel Bouland Pre Jourdan Morgon

93 Points Gilman: "The 2023 “Pré Jourdan” comes in just a touch riper than most of the Bouland Morgon bottlings this year, as it tips the scales at 14.5 percent octane. However, the wine is beautifully pure and perfectly ripe in this vintage, offering up a refined and sappy nose of black cherries, cassis, pomegranate, coffee bean, dark soil tones, pigeon, sweet stem tones, fresh thyme and plenty of upper register smokiness. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, sappy at the core and nicely based on its foundation of soil tones, with ripe, well-integrated tannins, fine focus and balance and a long, complex and gently chewy finish.
