2013 Umberto Fracassi Barolo Mantoetto

Umberto Fracassi Barolo from the ancient town of Cherasco is like the Burgundy equivalent of this great region. It is subtle and elegant and has a lovely soft warmth at its heart. Production is traditional all the way.  Fragrant and firmly structured  offering enticing scents of ripe berry, baking spice, tobacco, leather and a balsamic note. The solid palate doles out sour cherry, crushed raspberry, strawberry, cinnamon, clove and anise.
