2016 Camus Bruchon Savigny les Beaune Lavieres 1er CruPolaner
View from the Cellar -- John Gilman: Guillaume Camus used one third whole clusters in his 2016 les Lavières and the wine was raised in a one wine barrel this year. The wine is really very classic and elegant on both the nose and palate, with the bouquet delivering scents of cherries, red plums, violets, raw cocoa, gamebird and a complex base of soil tones. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, long and elegant, with lovely interplay of soil, fruit and acidity on the long, suavely tannic and focused finish. This is a beautiful bottle in the making. 2025-2065.
