Sfursat, meaning “forced” in Italian, (although this wine is not that) is only made in exceptional vintage with highly regulated production.  100% Nebbiolo is dried on straw mats for three months before undergoing a very gentle pressing and then aged in oak for two years and one year in the bottle before being released. Don't think Amarone or Taurasi. This will get you nowhere. Garnet red in color with intense, spicy aromas, and hints of fruit preserves, toasted hazelnuts, and dried fruit.  The warm palate, is full-bodied and round with well-balanced acidity.
