2018 Decibel Malbec Gimblett Gravels

Made from grapes grown on an ancient exposed riverbed in New Zealand, it’s brighter and redder in fruit than probably any Malbec you have tasted. Delicate heady aromatics waft up from the glass. Tart and lithe, dare I say bordering on racy. I’m still not sure it’s Malbec, but it’s pretty.
