This, like it's sister next to it on the shelf, is actually 5 years old. Not every wine ages well, as goes the urban legend, but this is an affordable exception to that inexorable slide towards the ol' "dirt nap". It's everything shiraz from Australia (called syrah in every other country for the most part), is supposed to be. Big, jammy, not too subtle, and slurpy thick. Now I insert an Australianism like "Off like a bucket of prawns in the sun, mate". Boom. Done.
