2018 Girolamo Rosso Etna Bianco Nerina
/ Single Bottle
70% Carricante, 30% Catarratto, Inzolia, Grecanico, Minnella, and Coda di Volpe. The wine is sourced from the contradas of San Lorenzo, Feudo, and Calderara Sottana; aged in a combination of steel (80%) and used oak barrels (20%). Golden honey combed nose, almost Chassagne Montrachet like with stinging beez wax and marmalade. Loaded and layered. Delectable palate with rich acid and poised vibrancy, loads of exotic fruit all over the place; from quince to apricot. One of my favorite Sicilian whites tasted recently.
